Italian Appetizer – Bagna Cauda

- 1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream freshly ground black pepper to taste
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the olive oil and butter.
- Season with black pepper.
- Heat until butter melts,then add garlic.
- Cook until garlic has softened but not browned.
- Remove from heat, and stir in cream.
- Serve warm.
